Health Tech Enterprise Ordering Platform
B2B Health Tech Custom Software UX/UI Design
OverviewA global health tech brand tasked me to upgrade and expand their online B2B offering with a new ordering system.
The Objectives
Adapt current branding into a seamless secondary site
Create a simple user experience for complex ordering flows
Create a robust order management system
Research and Discovery Areas
To tackle this UX heavy project I had to first work out what type of users were going to be purchasing from the site and how they would be placing orders. I worked within a small team to flow out the user types which determined what the primary use cases would be and informed the general UX strategy.
Ideation Using what I gleaned from user research, I put together lo-fi wireframes for a general ordering flow. These lo-fi flows allowed me to work with the clients and rapidly iterate on user journeys to overcome obstacles as they arose. These fast revisions were vital when it came to changing scope and pivoting to different flows as business decisions were made about the ordering process.
UX Process Using lo-fi wireframes as a baseline, I created simple screens for the user to help them through a complex buying journey with ease. These steps are designed to make sure the user can focus on one step at a time while still keeping the overall process relatively short.
BrandingAn important secondary task was adapting the current D2C branding to this new platform as we had wanted to keep the spirit of the main site while not overwhelming users. The more muted usage of the brand and imagery is aimed to calm, not distract users who may be using the site multiple times a day to go through the new buying process.
SummaryAlthough this project is still under development the creation of the new B2B tool aims to improve order efficiency and empower users through a simple to use process.
